Gilford M. Snapp, 81, of Williamsburg, passed away Wednesday, December 5, at Reid Hospital.
   He was born October 11, 1931 in Wayne County, Indiana to Henry & Helen Franklin Snapp. He was a graduate of Huntsville High School and was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He married the former Martha Duke on November 6, 1954 and they raised 4 sons together.
   Mr. Snapp worked at the former NATCO for 18 years and farmed. He was a member of AmVets Post 38 in Greens Fork and American Legion Post 442 in Williamsburg. He enjoyed watching Colts football and working outside in his yard.
   Mr. Snapp will be missed by his wife of 58 years, Martha; 4 sons, Dennis Cox and his wife, Kathy; Jim Cox and his wife, Diana, Dean Snapp and his wife, Shari; and Kim Snapp, all of Williamsburg; 9 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
   Mr. Snapp was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Wilma Skaggs.
   A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Cemetery.
   Family & friends may gather for visitation from 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 7, at the funeral home.

Our prayers and condolences go out to the Snapp family. Growing up in Williamsburg I had the priviledge of knowing Gilford. Mom is unable to travel but sends her prayers to the family. Trust in the Lord and He will comfort you in time of need.

My condolences to the Snapp family. As starting my life out in Williamsburg I knew the Snapp family and worked with Mrs. Snapp at Belden. You are in mine and my wife's prayers.
