I remember visiting the Alyea home several times as a guest of Jan. We had some good times at those slumber parties. It was great how the family put up with a group of teenage girls. I always felt welcomed by Jim and June. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Jim (my late mom's only sibling) was such a loving uncle to me. He always chuckled and had a warm smile for me. I love you Uncle Jim! He produced a warm, beautiful family that was always close-knit (a family union I always admired). He also had a long, committed marriage to a wonderful wife, June. My condolences to all the Alyea family! (tears!!)

Jan & Jon:
I just saw this and wanted to add my own message of sadness to hear about your dad. As Carolyn said above, I remember the great times at Jan's slumber parties and how welcome we all felt. Your parents made it feel like a second home and it is part of the fun-times-stories I still tell my children.
