Nedra Webster, 78, of Centerville, passed away in her home on Tuesday, December 19.
She was born on August 19, 1939 in Fortville, Indiana to Cort L. and Laura C. Knapp Surber.
She formerly worked at Westinghouse, Anchor Hocking and Magnavox in Randolph County before taking on full time what she felt were her most important jobs, that of wife and mother. She served as a Den Mother of a Cub Scout Troop in Richmond in the early ‘70s. She enjoyed attending the activities and sporting events of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren until her health restricted her mobility. She formerly delivered meals for Area 9 and was a member of the Webster United Methodist Church for over 40 years. Her proudest achievements were as caregiver to her daughter, Susan, and husband, Jim, as they fought their respective battles with cancer.
Nedra is survived by her children, Eric & Kristi Webster, Keith & Tricia Webster and Laura & Len Devaisher; son-in-law, Eric & Mary Kern; grandchildren, Craig & Lisa Webster, Ellie Kern, who she helped raise from toddler stage; Audrey & Dan Cyr, Charlie & Mackenzie Webster, Ruby Devaisher and Henry Devaisher; great-grandchildren, Alaina Webster, Cailey Webster and Juniper Cyr; sisters, Janet Shafer and Nancy Boggs; sister-in-law, Betty Surber; and many nieces and nephews.
Nedra was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 42 years, Jim Webster; daughter, Susan Laree Webster Kern; sister, Beth Ellen Surber; brothers, Bill Surber and Jerry Surber.
A private sendoff will be held at the convenience of her children at the Smith-McQuiston &Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.

My dear friend, Laura
So sorry to hear about the loss of your mother.......such a difficult time for you and your family. You have been in my thoughts and prayers this week and will be for a long time. I
would love to give you a big hug. Thinking of Len, Ruby and Henry also. It will be difficult, but I know you will still have a nice Christmas for your children. That is who you are. Love you.
