Amy Jo Laswell

 Amy Jo Laswell, 55, of Whitewater, passed away peacefully at Reid Health on Wednesday, September 4.

 Amy was born on November 28, 1968, in Richmond, Indiana, to Kenneth D. “Ken” & Janet S. Gwin Laswell.

 Amy loved the gift of life and grasped at every opportunity to gain strength and grow. She attended Camp Isanogel for 12 years and as a young girl was selected to be Richmond’s March of Dimes Poster Child. Later in life, she formed an interest in politics and became proficient in operating her computer. Amy loved being teased by her brothers, who made her laugh endlessly.

 Amy will be missed by her mother and tireless caregiver, Janet Laswell; brothers, Kenny Laswell & wife, Diane; Kurtis Laswell & companion, Michelle; Karl Laswell & wife, Andrea; Jeff Laswell & wife, Gabrielle; sister, Kathy Laswell Taube and several nieces & nephews. 

 Amy was preceded in death by her father, Ken Laswell, in 2016.

 Visitation for Amy will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. A celebration of life will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment in Goshen Cemetery.
