   Barbara Catey, 88, of Richmond, passed away on Tuesday, April 25 at Friends Fellowship Community.

   She was born on May 31, 1934 in Richmond to Leo Jefferson and Anna Mae Pike Robbins. She graduated from Fountain City High School in 1952 and attended business college for 1 year and cosmetology school. She married James M. “Jim” Catey on August 17, 1952.

   Barbara worked at Reid Hospital for 9 years. She and Jim co-owned & operated the Cloverleaf Mobile Home Park from 1968-85 and founded Cloverleaf Supply & Service in 1967. They retired in 1995 and moved to Richmond, spending their winter months in Florida.

    She was active in the Fountain City Model A Club for many years and was a member of the Indiana Manufactured Housing Association. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Richmond. She enjoyed music, computerized embroidery, quilting and golfing but her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her grandchildren.

   Mrs. Catey will be missed by her daughters & sons-in-law, Nancy & Rick Kolentus, of Florida and Karen & Dan Heighway, of Tennessee; son & daughter-in-law, Max & Charlene Catey, of Richmond; 6 grandchildren, Sean Kolentus, Chad Catey, Greg (wife, Stephanie) Catey, Andrew (wife, Kailey) Heighway, Allyson (husband, Troy) Meyers and Emily Heighway (fiancé, Michael Zitney); 7 great-grandchildren, Megan (husband, Ethan) Asher, Garrett Catey, Madison Kolentus, Sidney Catey, Jayden Heighway, Annalyn Heighway and Lakely Meyers; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Liam Asher and Oakley Asher; brother, Dale Robbins; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, John & Elsa Catey; and several nieces & nephews.

   Mrs. Catey was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim Catey, on February 2, 2022; grandson, Shane Kolentus; and sister, Genevieve Reynolds.

   A private funeral ceremony will be observed by the family, followed by interment in Williamsburg Cemetery.
