Barbara Hunt

   Barbara L. Hunt, 95, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, at her residence.

   She was born June 9, 1927 in Wayne County, Indiana to John Manning & Doris Abel Burgess.

   Barbara was a graduate of Whitewater High School and was a member of the United States Cadet Nurse Corps. She enjoyed a lengthy career as a Registered Nurse. She was a faithful member of the former Whitewater United Methodist Church.  

   Barbara will be missed by her daughter, Jane Medaris & special friend, Jan Cook; son & daughter-in-law, Ronald & Nancy Hunt; 6 grandchildren, Jodi (Jim) Hansen Jonathan (Nicole) Medaris, Hannah (Eric) Miller, Luke (Samantha) Medaris, Christina Hunt and Tamera Hunt; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, F. Gayle Hunt, in 2012; sisters, Pat France and Jane Schneider Braund; brothers, Joseph Abel Burgess and Dr. John Pierre Burgess.

   A funeral ceremony will be conducted by her family members at 11:00 am on Friday, July 15 at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South. Interment will follow in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris.

   Family & friends may gather for visitation from 10–11 am on Friday, July 15 at the funeral home.
