Mrs. Bessie Mae Tice, 82, of Webster, passed away in her home in the presence of her family on Monday, September 19, 2016.
    She was born July 5, 1934 in Awlsey County, Kentucky to Henderson Elhannon and Carrie Bethel Rowland Sizemore. She married Lawrence R. “Larry” Tice on February 2, 1957. They were blessed with four daughters and 48 years of marriage before his death on August 29, 2005.
   Bess was a homemaker and farm wife most of her life. She loved teaching dance in her early years at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. She poured her heart and soul into her family, from helping as a Brownie leader to countless other examples of her commitment to them. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, toll painting and ceramics.  
   Bess will be missed by her daughters, Lori Tice (David Garard), Judy Harmeyer (Rusty), Ruby Tice-Moles (David Hartman), and Mary Tice Ladd (Joe); grandchildren, Natalie Klotz (Kevin), Charles Tice (Amber Jordan), Dustin Moles (Charish Crabtree), Ashley Moles (Fabio Caro), Korak Ladd (Korrin Johnson), and Katia Ladd; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margie Sizemore; brother-in-law, Pete Baker; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Janet and Don Compton and family.
   Bess was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Marie Brom and Hager Ross; brothers Fred, Ray, Chelsea, Shotgun and five brothers who died in their youth.
   Special thanks are due for the team of caregivers that helped Bess, including Katia Ladd, Korrin Johnson, Amber Jordan and the Reid Hospice staff.
   Her nephew, Jay Rowe, will celebrate Bess’ life at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 23, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery in Centerville, followed by a gathering at the Tice Farm.
   Family & friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 am – 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, at the funeral home.
   Memorial contributions may be sent to the Reid Foundation for Hospice Care, 1100 Reid Parkway, Richmond, IN 47374.
