Elizabeth H. “Betsy” Lakes, 84, of Greens Fork, passed away at Reid Health on Sunday, November 24.

Betsy was born in Denver, Colorado on March 30, 1940, to Robert D. & Felicitas Diamant Budd, both of whom preceded her in death. Betsy later moved to New York, where she graduated with the Class of 1958 from Irvington High School in Irvington. She later attended Indiana University. She was a faithful and prayerful member of Hillcrest Baptist Church of Richmond. Betsy enjoyed horseback riding and was an accomplished horse trainer. She was a protector who looked out for others rather than serving herself.
