Bob Benson

Bobby L. “Bob” Benson, 89, of Richmond, passed away Thursday, October 23, at Reid Health.

Bob was born in Lynn, Indiana, on March 22, 1936, the son of Paul Edwin and Dorothy Lucille Frazier Benson. He graduated from Lynn High School in 1954 and served in the US Air Force. Bob enjoyed a career as an electronic technician and retired from Reid Hospital. He was a lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed bowling.

Bob is survived by cousins, including Sally Craig; and a nephew, Gregory Benson.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Alice Louise Benson and Anna Mae Benson; and brothers, Carl Edwin Benson and Franklin Benson.

Visitation for Bob will be from 12-2 pm on Thursday, October 30, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.

A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 30, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in New Liberty Cemetery.
