Brett A. Dale

   Brett Austin “Bubba” Dale went to be with the Lord, surrounded by family, on April 14, 2023, at the University of Chicago Medical Center after a courageous battle with liver disease.   

  Brett was born on March 12, 1993, in Richmond, Indiana to Candy (Don) Jackson and the late Timothy Dale.

  Brett was a 2011 graduate of Northeastern High School and was employed as a third shift supervisor at TBK America.  Brett was very charismatic, loyal, and genuine with a huge heart.  He never knew a stranger and will forever be remembered for his fun-loving nature, teddy bear hugs and gentle soul.  Brett was an avid sports enthusiast and a loyal fan of the L.A. Lakers (Kobe). He enjoyed gaming, boating with friends and family, bowling, golfing and softball.  Brett was a bright light who enjoyed life and cared deeply for his family and friends.  He will be forever missed dearly by all who knew him.  

  Also left to cherish his memory are grandparents Chester and Marjorie Stubblefield, Aunt Christy Stubblefield, Uncle Allen Stubblefield, siblings; Travis (Chelsi) Dale, Tabitha (Joe) Crisp & Ella Jackson; bonus parents: Linda & Dave Newman & Carla Cromwell; God-parents, Angela & John Baker; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  

  Brett was preceded in death by his father Timothy A. Dale; paternal grandparents, Wendell & Shirley Dale; cousins, Sierra Fisher and Jenna Dale; uncle, Michael “Stump” Dale.

  Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Brett’s life on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Assembly of God, 2339 W. Cart Rd., Richmond, Indiana with burial to follow at Willow Grove Cemetery in Fountain City.

  Visitation will be at the church from 11:00 a.m. –1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21.

  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged in Brett’s honor to the University of Chicago Medicine and Biological Sciences Development, 5235 South Harper Court, 4th Floor, Chicago, IL 60615 or givetomedicine@bsd.uchicago.edu in support of their research efforts.  

  The family also wishes to thank the staff for their efforts and the exceptional care they provided to Brett during his final days.
