Carolyn Sharp, 83, of Greens Fork, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, August 12.
She was born on August 25, 1930 in Arba to Harmon and Elva Taylor Myers. She graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1948.
Mrs. Sharp was always a hard worker. She was retired from the US Postal Service after 25 years of service and also enjoyed working as a seamstress. She was a member of the Greens Fork United Methodist Church, where she served several years as Treasurer.
Mrs. Sharp will be missed by her son, Mark Sharp; granddaughters, Treva Chaltry and Allison Morgan; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Lavera “Pete†Peters and Juanita Lou Bragg, and several special nieces & nephews.
Mrs. Sharp was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dale Sharp in 1998; and brothers, Leondas Myers and Henry Myers.
Pastor Pam Wooden will conduct a funeral ceremony at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Greens Fork South Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, at the funeral home.
