Dear Dennis, Mark and Paul,  I'm so sorry about the passing of your Dad.  I can remember back over 50 years ago of the fun we had when we went to visit at the farm.  Only time in my life that I had to use a chamber pot at night.  Your dad gave us rides on the tractor and your mom cooked some of the best meals I've ever had.  Nothing like fresh chicken on the table less than 3 hours from its demise.  I didn't see your dad last summer so didn't know about his stroke.  There is a void in my heart.  I will miss him and his dry sense of humor.  He was a great guy.

Dennis, Mark and Paul:

We are sorry to hear about the loss of your dad.  He was a good man and neighbor.  I missed admiring his garden as I'm sure he missed tending it in the last few years.  It was always a pleasure to see him at the hardware store, it brought back many memories of 4-H days.  I know he will be greatly missed by many.

In our family, he was always known as "Charles H" - my parents called him that, so did I - don't recall why?:) A good man and good friend/relative of my parents - Kathryn & Bob Marshall. Sending sincere sympathy & understanding knowing the comfort of good memories will give you peace.

Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. I had the privilege of meeting Charlie through Richmond Hardware during the time Chuck worked with him. He was a friendly and funny man who I always enjoyed visiting with. I know Chuck appreciated Charlie and their time together. He taught Chuck a lot about so much and we still use his vegetable soup recipe! He will not be forgotton! Sincerely, Lori Golliher

Mark and family, sorry to hear of your fathers passing. I bought things from him at both the Farm Bureau and Richmond Hardware. I especailly remember listening to his daily call in on the WKBV radio station for the Farm Bureau. That goes back a while. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Gary
