Daniel Engle

Daniel W Engle, 93, of Lynn, passed away on Monday morning, April 27, at Forest Park Health Campus, where he had lived for several years. Mr. Engle was born in Winchester, Indiana on April 8, 1933, son of Charles Edgar and Leota Lucille Buckmaster Engle. He was a graduate of Lynn High School.

Mr. Engle was a lifelong farmer before his retirement in 2004. He also was formerly a substitute mail carrier for the Lynn Post Office. Mr. Engle will be missed by his son & daughter-in-law, Joe & Sharon Engle; grandson, Nicholas Andrew Engle & his wife, Signe; granddaughter, Katherine Dawson; six great-grandchildren and nieces & nephews.

Mr. Engle was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 51 years, Marilyn Ann Jones Engle, whom he married on October 9, 1953, and who passed away on October 18, 2004; daughter, Lou Ann Owens; infant sister, Eleanor Engle; and sister Sharon Clevenger.

Visitation for Mr. Engle will be from 11:00 a.m.– Noon on Thursday, April 30, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, South US Hwy 27, Fountain City. A graveside service for immediate family will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
