Dolores I. Lamb
Dolores I. Lamb, 80, passed away on Tuesday, September 14 at Reid Hospital, hand in hand with her daughters.
She was born November 21, 1929 in Troy, Ohio to Glen and Zola Lamb Martin. She attended Centerville Schools before moving to Fountain City and graduated from Fountain City High School in 1949. She married Robert E. Lamb on July 13, 1949. Their loving, happy home was blessed with 2 daughters and they shared 52 years together before Mr. Lamb's death on December 26, 2001.
Mrs. Lamb was a homemaker and had lived in the Fountain City community most of her life. She enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre, skating and traveling. She was active with the Richmond Senior Center and the Fountain City Senior Center.
Mrs. Lamb will be missed by her daughters, Virginia Mullins, of Richmond and Nancy Clark, of Greens Fork; 4 grandchildren, Gary Mullins (Julie), Sandy Bowling (John), Bobbi Cayard-Roberts (Aaron) and Loni Clark; 3 great-grandchildren, Rachel Bowling, David Bowling and Nevin Cayard-Roberts; 1 brother, William Martin, of Winter Garden, Florida; 1 sister, Ruth Outcalt, of Scottsdale, Arizona; sisters-in-law Elnora Collins (Paul), of Cambridge City and Betty Martin and Joyce Martin, both of New Paris, Ohio; Iris Lamb, of Richmond; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Lamb was preceded in death by her sons-in-law, James L. Clark and Lloyd Wayne Mullins; 1 sister, Jean McDirmitt; and 2 brothers, Joe Martin and Charles Martin.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Rev. Max Knight at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 17, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, at the funeral home.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of our neighbor. Mrs. Lamb was always so kind and friendly. We enjoyed walking past her house and having visits with her when she was outside. I'll miss seeing her out on her mower. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
