Donald Richard Bane, 80, passed away Sunday, August 12, at the home of his son in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was born October 28, 1931 in Williamsburg, Indiana to Dewey and Ruby Landrum Bane. He graduated from Williamsburg High School and later served in the US Navy. Mr. Bane spent many years as a horse trainer, having worked on farms in Lexington, KY and Nashville, TN. He moved out to Las Vegas 1½ years ago from Ocala, FL, where he had lived for several years.
Mr. Bane will be missed by his daughter, Cheryl Bane, of Erie, PA; son, Randy Bane, of Las Vegas, NV; 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchild.
Mr. Bane was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Ethel Faye Bane; brothers, E. Keith Bane, Jerry Bane and Raymond Bane.
Services for Mr. Bane will be held at the convenience of his family at a later date with interment in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
