Donald E. Snyder, 88, of Richmond, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 29.
Donald was born on May 27, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio to Carl and Mabel Smith Snyder. He lived in Wayne County most of his life and worked 30 years at Avco. He retired from Cadillac Gauge in Greenville, Ohio.
Donald will be missed by his wife of 67 years, Bernice Hammontree Snyder; his daughters, Karen Hamilton and her husband, Keith; and Karla Savage; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one brother, James Snyder and his wife, Ann.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Randy Savage; and four brothers, Berthel, Thurman, Albert and Edward Snyder.
Donald will be remembered in a funeral ceremony at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
Family & friends may gather for visitation from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, at the funeral home.
