Mr. Edward T. “Ted†Cook, 75, passed away on Thursday, March 16 at Reid Health due to complications from pneumonia and influenza.
He was born in Greenville, Ohio on March 20, 1941 to Samuel Edward and Ester Smock Cook.
Mr. Cook worked in the drafting room at Hobart Manufacturing until his retirement. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2177 and Loyal Order of the Moose #329 in Greenville. He enjoyed gardening and camping.
Mr. Cook will be missed by his wife, the former Diane Moore; daughters, Sabrina Frech and her husband, Kevin; Vicki Fitzwater and her husband, Keith; and Bonnie Magato; sons, Eric Cook and his wife, Dawn; Tim Cook and his wife, Robin; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Joanne Stocksdale and her husband, Gene; brothers, Kenneth “Gus†Cook and Dick Cook; many nieces and nephews and his canine companion, Buttons.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Becky York; sister, Janice and brother, Paul.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, March 20, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home. 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Fraternal services by Moose Lodge #329 and Eagles Arie #2177 will conclude the evening.
