Ernie D. Bufford, 61, of Fountain City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 2 at Rosebud Village.
He was born in Richmond, Indiana on October 16, 1954, the firstborn of Ernest and Ruth Abney Bufford. Ernie attended Richmond High School and was a 1972 graduate of Northeastern High School. Ernie was a musician who loved to play guitar and sing.
Ernie will be missed by his daughter, Erni Bufford; son, Cody Bufford; mother, Ruth Bufford; granddaughter, Ily Bufford; sister, Connie (Greg) Sawyer; brothers, Terry (Carol) Bufford and Cary Todd Bufford; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ernie’s family would also like to recognize his special friends, Kay Potter, Paul & Eunice Thompson and Eddie Mingua.
Ernie was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Bufford, on December 22, 2011; and niece, Stacey Leah Mosier, on June 18, 2016.
Family & friends may gather for visitation from 11–1 p.m. on Friday, October 7, at Whosoever Ministries, 207 North Green Street, Fountain City. Ernie’s life will be celebrated beginning at 1:00, followed by interment in Willow Grove Cemetery in Fountain City
