Faye Lilly Grimes Chamness Runner, 75, of Lynn, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 27, 2016.
She was born September 23, 1940 in Kentucky to Lucian and Ada Eversole Grimes. She married Myrle D. Chamness, Jr. on May 23, 1959. They were blessed with three children before his death on August 5, 1975. She later married Carl Runner on September 18, 1982, who survives.
Faye worked at Richmond Glove Factory and Staco and was also a homemaker. She was an active member of Poplar Run United Baptist Church. Faye was a born-again Christian and strong in her faith. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Faye will be missed by her husband, Carl Runner; son, Clarence Chamness; son, Kenneth Chamness and his wife, Mendy; daughter, Michelle Baker and her husband, Roderick; grandchildren, Kayla (Morgan Clevenger) Chamness, Kyle Chamness, Jackie (Cody) Wolfal, Bobby (Beth) Chamness, Corinne (Howard) Hanson, Jay (Nicole Gefroh) Baker, Kassandra (Adam Kempert) Baker and Carley Baker; great-grandchildren, David and Dillion Wiseman, Mason, Jackson and Madison Wolfal, Lucas, Rylee and Beau Chamness, Ciara Baker, Jocelyn Nelson and Keegan Hanson, Emily and Hailey Azure; sister, Veeda Willes and several nieces and nephews.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, granddaughter, Brandy Wiseman; great-grandson, Quinton Wolfal; brothers, Tully, Donald, Brown and Wayne; sisters, Wanda, Joan and Lorene.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Greens Fork South Cemetery.
Family & friends may gather for visitation from 3-7 p.m. Friday, July 1, at the funeral home.
