Francine Dorothy Jane Coulombe, 83, of Fountain City, passed away on Saturday afternoon, June 6, in the comfort of her home with her family at her side.
She was born on October 23, 1942, in Finedon, North Northamptonshire, England, in the middle of World War Two. In 1964, she immigrated to the United States. She formerly was a project manager at Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma before moving to Indiana in 2000.
Fran was a kind person who carried everyone in her heart. She enjoyed cooking for her family. She took great pride in maintaining her home, decorating and working in her yard. Fran leaves behind much more than just memories. She leaves behind laughter, lessons, strength, and a family that will forever carry her love with them.
Her husband of nearly 55 years, Rudy Lee Coulombe; sons, Jim Coulombe (Sheila) and Robbie Booth; daughters, Tammy Akers (Mike) and Donna Booth (Martin); sister-in-law, Laurel Moore; the father who raised her as his own, Walter Camp; grandchildren, Ryan Akers and Bryan Fulton; several great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews including Desi Steckley (Richard), Trevor Camp, Mark Camp, Brett Camp and Misty Camp Armstrong will all carry Fran in their hearts.
Fran’s spirit has met with the father she never met, a Royal Air Force casualty of World War Two; her mother, Dorothy Mabel Trevor Camp; brother-in-law, Leon Moore; grandson, Justin Akers; brothers, Tony Camp and Greg Camp.
She is with her beloved companion, Princess, who always watched over her.
Fran chose to be cremated and her family will celebrate her life at a later date.
