Frank Chenoweth, 88, of Lynn, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015.
   He was born George Franklin Chenoweth on August 16, 1927 in Lynn, the son of Edwin and Mabel (Norman) Chenoweth. He graduated from Lynn High School in 1945 and was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He returned home to attend Indiana University, where he was a member of Acacia Fraternity and graduated in 1950.
   Mr. Chenoweth was the third generation owner and manager of Chenoweth’s Store in Lynn. He was a past president of the Lynn Businessmen’s Association and the Lynn Lion’s Club. He served on the board of the Citizen’s Banking Company in Lynn and was a member of Lynn Friends Church. He enjoyed golf, traveling, watching IU basketball, Reds baseball, football, gardening and feeding the birds.
   Mr. Chenoweth will be missed by his wife of 63 years, JoAnn Ihlstrom Chenoweth; daughters, Catherine Stevenson and her husband Philip; and Barbara Chenoweth Allen and her husband, Richard; son, James F. Chenoweth; grandchildren, Sean Stevenson, Sara Stevenson, Cooper Allen, Kenzi Chenoweth and Sophi Chenoweth; great-granddaughter, Arianna Stevenson; sister, Joan Mangas; brother, Edwin Chenoweth and his wife, Thelma; one niece and six nephews.  
   Preceding him in death were his parents and grandparents.
   Public visitation for Mr. Chenoweth is scheduled from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South in Fountain City.
   A private funeral ceremony will then be conducted followed by interment in Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
