Gary G. Carender, 58, of Williamsburg, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 26, at his residence.
He was born November 26, 1949, in New Castle, Indiana, the son of Tusco and Minnie Peacock Carender. He was a graduate of Palo Verde High School in Tucson, Arizona. Gary was retired from ALCOA as a sales engineer. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and living life to its fullest. He was a member of ABATE, Harley Owners Group and loved riding his Harley-Davidson all across the United States. Gary attended the Fountain City Wesleyan Church and celebrated his baptism in December 2007.
Gary will be missed by his wife, the former Janice Bryant; his parents, of Williamsburg; 2 daughters, Kimberly Lanter and her husband, Robbie, of Fountain City and Lori Burrell, of Phoenix, Arizona; 4 grandchildren, Morgan Lanter, Benjamin Burrell, McKenzie Lanter and Jordan Burrell; 1 brother, Alan Carender and his wife, Melinda, of Williamsburg; and his beagle buddy, Junior.
Gary was preceded in death by 1 brother, Ronnie Carender.
Gary's life will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 31, at the Fountain City Wesleyan Church, 5600 US 27 North, Richmond, Indiana. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
