George W. "Bill" Hill

Mr. George W. “Bill” Hill, 90, of Fountain City, passed away on Friday morning, October 23, at the home of his daughter in Richmond.

Bill was born in Randolph County, Indiana on July 25, 1936, to Walter G. & Irene Opal Moody Hill. He attended Fountain City High School.

Bill formerly served in the Indiana National Guard. He farmed for most of his life and also worked as a TV service technician. He was a faithful member of the Lynn Church of the Nazarene. Bill enjoyed southern gospel music and was a member of the Kings Road Quartet for 40 years, playing steel guitar

Bill will be missed by his wife of 71 years, the former Edith I. Kelly, whom he married on April 2, 1955; children, Penny Lynn Lee & husband, Chet, Mark William Hill & wife, Barb, Deborah Eileen Hollingsworth & husband, Grant; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lavern Hill.
