George E. “Buster” Turner, 81, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away on Friday, November 15, at Friends Fellowship Community.
    He was born on October 20, 1932 in Greens Fork to George and Carol Breen Turner. He was a 1950 graduate of Greens Fork High School and was a US Army veteran. He married the former Joan Radford on November 16, 1957.  
   Mr. Turner retired from Dana Corp. after 38 years in the machining and maintenance departments. He was a member of the Williamsburg masonic Lodge #493 and served many years on the Williamsburg Vol. Fire Department. He was active for several years as a coach in the Williamsburg Youth League. He had traveled the US on his motorcycle and later became a charter member of Seniors On Scooters in Richmond.
   Mr. Turner will be missed by his wife of 56 years, Joan; son, Rodney Turner; sister, Carolyn Ridge; three nieces and one nephew.
   A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, November 19, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment with military rites will follow in Greens Fork South Cemetery.
   Family & friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon on Tuesday, November 19, at the funeral home.
   Memorial contributions may be sent to the Williamsburg Youth League, PO Box 42, Williamsburg, IN 47393.
