Georgie Jones

Georgie L. Jones, 68, of Fountain City, passed away peacefully in the presence and care of her family on Saturday, March 21.

Georgie was born in Clinton County, Kentucky, on March 6, 1958, to George Benton & Betty Jean Logan Beaty. She grew up in Muncie, Indiana and attended Muncie Central High School.

Georgie recently retired after a 38-year career at Rosebud Village, where she was a fixture in the dietary department. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandson and treasured any time she could spend with them. Georgie was also an avid reader.

Georgie will be missed by her children, Jason Beaty, Melissa Ruble and Billi Gossage; grandchildren, Dillon Beaty and Alissa Ruble; great-grandson, Remington Beaty; sisters, Patty (Brian) Songer and Diame James; half-sister, Georgie Beaty; brothers, David (Jenny) Beaty and Gilbert (Susan) Beaty; special friend, Jeff Neal.

Georgie was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband, Doug Jones; sisters Connie Beaty and Linda Harty; and brother, Steven Beaty.

A celebration of life will he held from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, April1, at the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, 1107 Ridge Street in Richmond.
