Mrs. Geraldine J. Lewis, 83, of Lynn, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 16, at Friends Fellowship Community.
She was born on July 15, 1931 in Wayne County, Indiana to Gerald and Florence Hiatt Kimmerling, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from Lynn High School in 1949 and was united in marriage to Verlin Lewis on February 25, 1950. They shared 52 years of marriage before his death on November 5, 2002. She was a homemaker and farm wife and was a member of the Lynn Friends Church.
Mrs. Lewis will be missed by her friends and neighbors.
Very special thanks are due the nurses and staff of Friends Fellowship Community for their compassionate care.
Pastor Scott Miller will conduct a funeral ceremony at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19 at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
Family & friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00p.m. on Friday, September 19, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Lynn Friends Church, 311 South Main Street, Lynn, IN 47355.
