Gilda Germano

Astrugilde “Gilda” Germano, 79, of Fountain City, passed away on Saturday morning, April 18, 2026.

Gilda was born on February 2, 1947, in Sao Miguel, Azores (Portugal) to Jose' & Jardelina (Oliveira) Germano.

Gilda worked for many years in retail sales and formerly owned & operated Gilda’s Handbags & Accessories in Florida. She loved the beach, the sun and saltwater life during the years she lived in Florida. She also enjoyed spending time at the shores of Ocean Cities of Maryland and New Jersey during the time she lived in Pennsylvania. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and animals, especially cats.

Gilda will be missed by her brother, Tony Germano; niece, Jennifer Germano; nephew, Angelo Germano; great-nieces & great-nephews: Matilyn Curtis, Alexander Curtis, AJ Germano, Dominic Germano, Giovanni Germano and Isabella Germano as well as many cousins and friends.

Gilda was preceded in death by her parents, her niece, Isabella Germano, and great-niece, Natalie Curtis.

Gilda’s wishes were to be remembered privately and maybe take one more trip to her favorite places.
