   James M. “Jim” Catey 89, of Richmond, passed away on Wednesday, February 2 at Friends Fellowship Community.

   He was born on July 22, 1932 on a farm southwest of Greens Fork to Harold G. and Mary C. Moyer Catey. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1950 and earned a degree in Jr. Accounting from Indiana Business College. He married the former Barbara Robbins of Fountain City on August 17, 1952.

   Jim farmed west of Williamsburg and also east of New Castle. He was employed by Ralston Purina for five years. Jim, along with his father, developed the Cloverleaf Mobile Home Park in 1958 and sold it in 1985.  Jim and Barbara started the Cloverleaf Supply & Service in 1967. They retired in 1995 and moved to Richmond, spending their winter months in Florida. He later worked at Friends Fellowship from 2004-2012.

   He was active in the Fountain City Model A Club for many years and enjoyed golfing. He served 12 years on the Northeastern Wayne School Board and was formerly a member of the Indiana Manufactured Housing Association. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Richmond.

   Mr. Catey will be missed by his wife, Barbara; daughters & sons-in-law, Nancy & Rick Kolentus, of Florida and Karen & Dan Heighway, of Tennessee; son & daughter-in-law, Max & Charlene Catey, of Richmond; 6 grandchildren, Sean Kolentus, Chad Catey, Greg (Stephanie) Catey, Andrew (Kailey) Heighway, Allyson (Troy) Meyers and Emily Heighway; 7 great-grandchildren, Megan (Ethan) Asher, Garrett Catey, Madison Kolentus, Sidney Catey, Jayden Heighway, Annalyn Heighway and Lakely Meyers; 1 great-great-grandson Liam Asher, plus 1 great-great-granddaughter on the way; brother & sister-in-law, John & Elsa Catey, of Richmond.

   Mr. Catey was preceded in death by his parents and 1 grandson, Shane Kolentus.

   A private funeral service will be observed by the family. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Cemetery.
