Janice "Jan" Petry

Janice “Jan” K. Petry, 71, of Fountain City, passed away on Saturday, October 16.

She was born on September 2, 1950 in Greenville, Ohio to Elmer and Lucille Petry Baker. She married Joseph E. “Pete” Petry on April 3, 1972. They shared 41 years of marriage until his death on May 6, 2013.

Jan was a member of Lifespring Church. She was currently employed at Lee Supply in Richmond for over 24 years. She also co-owned & operated J&J Small Engine Repair with her husband until his death. Janice enjoyed spending time with her family and with her dog, Radar.

Jan will be missed by her daughters & sons-in-law, Sabrina Weber-Cornwell and Rick Cornwell, Lisa and Butch Richardson; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brother, Marvin (Mary) Baker; sister-in-law, Karla Baker; nieces & nephews.

Jan was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson, Nicholas Weber, and brother, Dale Baker.

Pastor Dave Anderson will officiate a funeral ceremony at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, at the funeral home.
