Mr. Showalter was my 5th grade teacher at McKinley Elementary in Muncie.  I have fond memories of him as a teacher.  Mr. Showalter, I am so sorry to hear of your loss and you are in my prayers.  You were an outstanding teacher and honestly the hi-lite of my elementary years.  I will always remember you and want you to know what admiration I had for you as a teacher and influence on my life.  Fondly, Jerry

I'm sad to hear of Mrs. Showalter's passing. I have many fond memories of being in her kindergarten class. I remember her as a very patient, loving, and caring person. I loved being in her class and always measured my other teachers to her. My thoughts are with the family. ~Kristi (Mann) Leto

We are so sorry to hear of Jeanne's passing.  Our thoughts and prayers will be with Max, Sally, Debi, Denny and family in the coming days and weeks.  We sincerely wish we could come to Indiana to pay our respects in person.  I will always remember Jeanne and her sweet presence at all of our family gatherings.  Her chocolate cakes were delicious and when I was a very young child, she would always remind the kids to wash our hands before we ate!  As an aunt and teacher, I know she impacted many lives in a positive way.  She will be greatly missed, but she will shine brightly in our memories.
Love, Sara and John
