Jerald Martin, 69, of Williamsburg, passed away on Thursday, January 12, at Reid Hospital.
    He was born December 6, 1942 in North Middletown, Kentucky to Albert “Dick” Jr. and Paralee Fox Martin. He grew up in the Williamsburg area and lived there his whole life. He was a 1962 graduate of Williamsburg High School. He married the former Juanita Barnett on September 5, 1965 and was blessed with 3 daughters and 1 son.
   Jerald served in the US Army from 1964-66. He later worked 15 years at Wayne Works and owned & operated Martin’s Used Appliances in Fountain City for several years. When he wasn’t gardening and keeping his yard immaculate, he could often be seen sitting in front of his home watching and waving to all who passed by. He also enjoyed stopping in on his children and grandchildren when they were out camping.
   Jerald will be missed by his wife, Juanita; daughters & sons-in-law, Sheri & Billy Ruble, of Williamsburg; Dawn & Ron Bullock, of Fountain City; son & daughter-in-law, Roger & Karen Martin, of Centerville; mother, Paralee Martin, of Williamsburg; 8 grandchildren, Johnny Martin, Devon Collins, Teanna Collins, Austin Bullock, Dillon Bullock, Collin Martin, Michelle Martin and Blake Martin; 2 great-grandchildren, Jasper Messer and Jaxson Messer;; sisters, Pam Sowers and Sharon Parrish, both of Williamsburg; brothers, Bill Martin, of Fountain City, twin brother, Jerry Martin, of Williamsburg; Mike Martin, of Palm Coast, Florida; and Tony Martin, of Williamsburg; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Jerald was preceded in death by his father, Dick Martin; sister, Joan Donovan; and nephew, Doug Robbins.
   A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 16 at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in New Garden Cemetery.
   Family & friends may gather for visitation from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, January 15 at the funeral home.
