Mrs. Joyce A. Bryant, 65, of Richmond, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 12, 2014.
She was born on October 2, 1948 in Richmond, Indiana to Harold L. and Geneva Elliott Rogers.
Joyce loved the Lord and was a member of the North 27 Worship Center, where she loved going to church and being with her church family. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and grandmother who loved spending time with her children and grandkids, family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling, crocheting and doing arts and crafts.
Joyce will be missed by her husband, Cecil R. “Big Reg†Bryant, Jr., whom she married on October 29, 1966; mother, Geneva Rogers; sons and daughters-in-law, Reggie “Lil Reg†& Angie Bryant, Danny & Nola Bryant and Christopher & Marietta Bryant; daughter & son-in-law, Tonya & Morgan Waldon; grandchildren, Misty DeSonie (Brandon), Amy Richardson (Cory), Amanda Bryant, Olivia Bryant, Jon Bryant, Jordan Bryant, Dallas Mullins, Devin Mullins, Dylan Puckett, Myzshia Bryant, Myleigh Bryant, Chloe Bryant, Austin Bryant and Taylor Waldon; great-grandchildren, Kylee DeSonie, Makenzie DeSonie, Alyssa DeSonie, Kaydin Casteel, Camren Richardson and Courtney Richardson; sister, Janice Gibson (Charles); brothers, Terry Michael Rogers and Rick Rogers (Paula); and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her father and sisters, Betty Rogers, Donna Rogers and Sandra Holbert.
Pastor Robert Johnson will conduct a funeral ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 18 at the North 27 Worship Center, 5172 US 27 North, Richmond. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
Family & friends may gather for visitation from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.
