Kathy Bockhofer

   Kathy Bockhofer, 63, of Lynn, passed away on Saturday evening, April 25.

   She was born Kathy Sue Mitchem in Welch, West Virginia, on April 18, 1958, the daughter of David Bennett & Shelby Jean Isom Mitchem, both of whom preceded her in death. Kathy attended Union City High School. She married David Bockhofer 30 years ago on September 7, 1990.

   Kathy worked at Cinram in Richmond for several years. She later worked at Flying Sauser in Lynn, where she was affectionately known as “The Pizza Lady”.

   Kathy will be missed by her husband, David Bockhofer; son, Matthew Bockhofer, father-in-law, John E. Bockhofer; sisters-in-law, Beth (Bob) Sumrall, Lunetta Akkerman and Amy Pratti; brother-in-law, John H. Bockhofer; sisters, Lisa Mitchem and Shelley Austin; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

   Visitation for Kathy will be from 10-11:30 am on Saturday, May 1 at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.

   A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 1 in Willow Grove Cemetery in Fountain City.
