Kathy Tiemann, 51, of Richmond, formerly of Fountain City, passed away Thursday, July 19 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
   Kathy was born August 8, 1960 in Greenville, Ohio to Glenn and June Kindley Reed, both of whom preceded her in death. Kathy was a 1978 graduate of Northeastern High School. She was always a hard worker who devoted much of her time to helping others. She was formerly a teaching assistant at Northeastern Elementary School and formerly a teller at the Mainsource Bank branch in Fountain City. She was a long-time employee of Meijer and also currently worked as a deputy clerk in Wayne Superior Court 3 in Richmond.
   Kathy enjoyed reading and crafting, but her greatest joy came in spending time with her family and spoiling her 3 grandchildren. She loved the Smokey Mountains and enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg at every opportunity.
   To know Kathy was to love Kathy. She was always willing to go out of her way to be helpful to others. Even in death, she shared with others through donation.
   Kathy will be missed by daughters, Kim Tiemann, of Richmond and Kara Tiemann, of Fountain City; 3 grandchildren, Sadie Lynne, Dustin Michael and Alaina Lynae 2 sisters, Kay Reed, of Richmond and Mona Gard, of Carlos; 2 brothers, John Reed, of Greenville, OH and Gene Reed, of Modoc; and nieces & nephews.
   Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and 1 nephew, Marshall Hunter Gard.
   A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Keith Vincent at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25, at the Fountain City Wesleyan Church, 5600 US 27 North, Richmond. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
   Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, at the Fountain City Wesleyan Church.
   Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 4567 Progress Drive, Columbus, IN 47201.
   The Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, Fountain City, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
