Larry J. Petry, 69, of Richmond, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Reid Hospital.
He was born in Winchester, Indiana on November 1, 1945 to Melbourne L. and Ina Mae Ruble Petry, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a 1965 graduate of Fountain City High School.
Larry was a faithful member of the Fountain City Wesleyan Church. He retired from Kemper Cabinets in 1999 after 30 years of service. He loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the Wayne County Coon Hunters.
Larry will be missed by his wife, the former Linda Jennings, whom he married on November 4, 1989; daughters & sons-in-law, Kimberly & Rob Robertson, Krista & Daryl Burk and Karin & Don Wilson; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sisters, Carol Baxter and her husband, Ken; and Sharon Mayberry; brother, Duane Petry and his wife, Carol; and several nieces & nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Phil Mayberry.
Pastor David Anderson will conduct a funeral ceremony at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3 at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, at the funeral home.
