Leslie "Les" Williams

   Leslie “Les” Williams, 73, passed away Friday, May 27, at Rose Gate Village in Richmond.
   Born August 1, 1937 in Richmond, he was the son of Harry and Edna Waddell Williams. He graduated from Whitewater High School in 1955 and served 6 years in the Indiana National Guard. He worked in manufacturing at several factories in Richmond including Eaton Gear and D & M and traveled the U.S. delivering school buses for Safeway Drive-Away. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and bicycling and served many years as an Elder in the Whitewater Christian Church.  
   Mr. Williams will be missed by his wife, Carol A. Ketron Williams, who he married on February 1, 1959; daughters, Paula Gray and Pam Fulton, both of Richmond; Betsy Temple, Centerville; sons, Steve Williams, Cypress, Texas; Tim Williams, Fountain City and Mark Williams, Whitewater; brothers, Larry Williams, Middleboro; Danny Williams, Coatesville; Richard Williams, Richmond; sisters, Joyce Malicoat, Brooksville, Florida; Judy Love, Webster; 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
   Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Williams; brothers, Roy Williams and Kenneth Williams.
   A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31 at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Whitewater Cemetery.
   Family and friends may gather for visitation from 2-6 p.m. Monday, May 30, at the funeral home.
   Memorial contributions may be sent to the Whitewater Christian Church, 7918 State Road 227 North, Richmond, IN 47374.

Sending my condolences in the death of your husband, father, grandfather.
Over 40 years ago, my daughters, Monica and Angela, attended Whitewater Christian Church.  I was in Betty Cox class and have fond memories of worshipping there.  May God give you peace.

I will miss grandpa Les very much. I have good memories with him, I remember a few times when i was little he would take me for a ride in his truck and we would go really fast over the big hill on 227 N about 10 times in a row! I give my apologies for not being able to attend the funeral. He is in heaven now with God, so I know he is in good hands.

Carol and family, we are so sorry to hear of Les''s passing.  I know he has been in alot of pain for awhile and now is resting in Jesus'' arms.  He will be remembered well from our worshiping at Whitewater many years ago. Our love and prayers are going up for you.
