Lois Snyder

Lois Ann Snyder, 89, of Lynn, passed away on Thursday, June 11, at Forest Park Health Campus in Richmond.

She was born in Clinton, Iowa on October 21, 1936, to Robert Henry & Ella Christina Mueller Pelton. She was a 1955 graduate of Clinton High School. She met her husband, Lynn native Jerry Snyder, in El Paso, Texas. They were married on March 2, 1962, and moved back to Randolph County, Indiana, where they lived in the Spartanburg and Lynn area for the rest of their lives.

Lois worked as a cashier at the State Line Truck Stop for 20 years and later worked at Saucer’s Truck Stop in Lynn for 5 years before retiring in 2005.

Lois is survived by her sons, Tim Snyder & wife, Kathy; Darren Snyder; grandchildren, Brandi (Michael), TJ (Amanda), Heather Snyder (Jeremy); great-grandchildren, Myles Mayberry and Kyler Snyder.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 61 years, Jerry Leroy Snyder, in 2023; son, Ted Snyder, in 2025; sister, Louise McNeill, and brothers, Robert William Pelton, Eugene Allen Pelton and William Paul Pelton.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, in Spartanburg Cemetery.
