Mrs. Madeline J. Pierson, 75, of Richmond, passed away on Saturday, February 17 in her home.
She was born in Fountain City, Indiana on October 27, 1942 to William “Bill†& Birdena Cooper Short. She was a 1960 graduate of Fountain City High School.
Madeline was a homemaker and had also worked at Friends Fellowship, Golden Living and Heritage House. She enjoyed being with her family and liked to read and sew.
Madeline will be missed by her husband of 53 years, Paul Pierson, who she married on August 8, 1964; her mother-in-law, June Pierson; daughters, Holly Preston and her husband, Randy; Paula Pierson; Kari Koons and her fiancé, John; grandchildren, Madeline Brooke Koons and her fiancé, Ian, Amber Hinshaw, Courtney Cain, Devon Powell, Kelcee Koons; great-grandchildren, Lillian Tiller, Quinten Cain, Brayden Cain, Kacie Hinshaw; sisters, Delores Hawkins and Patricia Miller; and nieces & nephews.
Madeline was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley Johnting and brother, Neil Short.
At Madeline’s request, no services are planned.
