Marcena Williams
Marcena L. Williams, 82, formerly of Greens Fork, passed away Saturday, August 6 at Golden Living Center Oak Ridge in Richmond.
She was born March 29, 1929 to Paul S. and Edna B. Chamness Oler. She graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1947 and married Earl M. Williams on June 10, 1951.
Mrs. Williams was formerly employed at Atlas Underwear and Crosley Corp. She later was office manager at the Greens Fork Elevator and worked in the dietary department of Friends Fellowship.
She was a faithful member of the Williamsburg Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Williams will be missed by her husband of 60 years, Earl; sons, Kevin and Kathy Williams, of Greens Fork; Kenton and Theresa Williams, of Lead, SD; grandchildren, Zeb Williams, Karman Williams, Karson Williams and Nicole Tabone; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Jasmin and Jessie; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Josephine Carey and Lucille Ozbun; brothers, Byron Oler, Richard Oler and Leroy Oler.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, at the Williamsburg Church of the Nazarene, 8503 Pleasant Street, Williamsburg. Interment will follow in Greens Fork South Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, August 8, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.
