Marcia K. Favorite, 81, of Lynn, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Tuesday evening, June 2.
She was born on March 2, 1945, in Winchester, Indiana to Virgil & Gertrude Faye (Bales) Van Tyle. She attended Lynn High School and was a proud Bulldog.
Marcia was a homemaker. She also worked for several years at Randolph Southern High School. Her family was her #1 priority. She enjoyed Paint by Number, Macrame and collecting owls, light houses and angels.
Marcia will be missed by her sons, Timothy Favorite & wife, Nancy, and Mike Favorite; daughters, Evette Favorite-Isaacs & husband, Ron, and Michelle Dingess & husband, Scott; granddaughters, Jami (Josh) Keen, Jennifer Hope (Brandon) Cook and Jessica Rae McCoy; grandson, Cole (Shasta) Dingess; great-grandsons, Jaxon, Charles and Easton; great-granddaughters, Sophia, Jazmine, Chelsea, Bryleigh, Keely, Kaylom and Audrey; sister-in-law, Sylvia Van Tyle.
Marcia was preceded in death by her husband, James Rodney Favorite; son, James Perry “Crash” Favorite; grandson, Skyler Dingess; parents and her companion, Doug Frazier.
Visitation for Marcia will be from Noon – 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 8, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.
A funeral ceremony will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 8, at the funeral home, followed by interment in New Liberty Cemetery near Lynn.
