Marie Frame Davis

d. March 18, 2018

Mrs. Marie Frame Davis, 87, of Williamsburg, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 18 at Friends Fellowship Community. Marie was a woman who steadily walked with her Savior, loved and taught her children well, and lived her faith daily as she lovingly served her family, friends, neighbors and strangers.  Words often used to describe Marie are “kind, gentle, and loving”. She consistently lived a life of gratitude and appreciation. The staff at Friends Fellowship frequently echoed this as well and shared she always had a smile and never complained. The family is so grateful to Friends Fellowship staff for their gentle and loving care of their mother.
Born August 10, 1930 in Randolph County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Macy and Lois Brumfield Horner. She was a graduate of Richmond High School. She was united in marriage to Lloyd M. Frame on March 10, 1950. They were blessed with five children and 44 years of marriage until his death on April 26, 1994. She married Gerald G. Davis in 2001, who preceded her in death on January 6, 2015.
Marie was a faithful member of the Williamsburg Church of the Nazarene, where she was always involved in church activities. She and Lloyd co-owned Frame’s Carpet Shoppe in Greens Fork. She worked for 25 years in the cafeterias of Williamsburg Elementary School and Northeastern Elementary School. Marie was a member of Gideons International Auxiliary and participated in their women’s jail ministry. She volunteered at Reid Hospital when her health permitted.
Marie will be missed by her daughters, Melva Kolopanis and her husband, Larry; Brenda Irwin and her husband, Randy; Cyndi Frame and her husband, Doug McKenzie; Rita Frame; and son Tim Frame and his wife, Julie; grandchildren, Kristi Kolopanis, Elaine Turner, Kyle Kolopanis, Megan Lapsley, Ben Irwin, Tessa Irwin, Bethany Irwin, Terry Talentino, Luke Frame and Jake Frame; 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way; Gerald’s children, Tambrey Williamson, Randy Davis, Tallie Davis Lester, Tenley Horner and their families, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Marie was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jim Talentino and two sisters, Eva Routh and Ellen Frame.
Marie’s life will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, at the Williamsburg Church of the Nazarene. Interment will follow in Webster Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, March 23, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.
