Marie F. Miller, 90, of Fountain City passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Living Richmond.
Marie was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on October 14, 1925 to Roy & Verna Cox. She was married to James L. Miller on November 25, 1950. Marie & Jim have 2 children, 5 grandchildren and were married 65 years!
In the early years, Marie worked at Crosley in Richmond, Indiana. She helped her husband in their family business, Miller's Sales & Service. She excelled at her most important job as Mother to her 2 children. As a Mother, Marie glorified God by her life and raised her children in the Christian Faith. Marie stayed active as a volunteer. You could see her smiling face at many Northeastern School activities and at the Senior Center in Fountain City.
Marie will be missed by her son & daughter-in-law James R. & Terri Miller, daughter Gaylynne Miller, grandchildren Sadie, Greg, Allison, Cassie & Jared. Brothers & sisters Roy & Lillian Cox, Ralph & Joyce Cox, Barbara Grimes, Paul & Emily Cox, Virginia & Wayne McKinney.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband, James L. Miller, parents Roy & Verna Cox and brothers Willard, Lloyd, Elmer & Delmer Cox.
Pastor Brian Richmond will conduct the funeral ceremony at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 27, 2016 and visitation on Saturday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City, IN.
