Martha L. Hill, 87, passed away on Thursday, September 1 at Forest Park Health Campus in Richmond.
She was born August 7, 1924 in Daleville, Indiana. She was a farm wife, working beside her husband, David, on their Seaney Road farm. She was a member of Chapter #552, Order of Eastern Star, and enjoyed sewing and painting.
Mrs. Hill will be missed by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jack & Mabel Hill, of Richmond; Steve & Carol Hill, of Fountain City; grandchildren, Tonya & Nick Conner, Sheila Sebring, Kim Hill, Greg & Cheryl Hill, Kathy Wood, Debra Ramey; 10 great-grandchildren, 2 Great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years, David L. Hill; infant son, Larry Joe Hill; 1 sister, Mary Sickels and 1 brother, Walter Schlegel.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Pastor David Anderson at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 5, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, at the funeral home.
