 Marvin Fisher, 79, of Fountain City, passed away on Monday morning, June 24.

 Marvin was born in Billings, Montana on March 2, 1945, to John Francis & Alice Iola Peterson Fisher. Marvin’s parents both died when he was very young and he was raised by his aunt, Pat Chaplin.

 Marvin was a 1964 graduate of Fountain City High School. He married the former Janet M. Stamper on November 26, 1964. Their 31-year union was blessed with two daughters before Janet’s death on July 23, 1996.

 Marvin worked as a machinist at Perfect Circle for 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, doing carpentry projects and watching the John Hagy TV ministry.

 Marvin will be missed by his daughters & sons-in-law, Paula & Tom Hill and Traci & David Harris; grandchildren, Ben Hill, Heather Hill, Marissa Gideon, Samantha Beaty, Kristopher Hill, Cody Harris and Amanda Norton; great-grandchildren, Cora, Sofia, Bentley, Lynnlee, Faithlyn, Aubrey, Kaleb, Magnolia and Loralei; nephews, Rick Moser and Shane Miller.

 Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, aunt & uncle, Pat and John Chaplin; sisters, Iola and Maria; and brother, David.

 Family and friends are encouraged to gather for a memorial visitation from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, June 28, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.

 Marvin will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana.
