Mike Reynolds

Michael Gene Reynolds, 70, of Williamsburg, walked into God’s woods on Wednesday morning, October 22.

Mike was born in Elwood, Indiana on July 11, 1955, to Claude Leon & Trumanette “Trudy” Bolen Reynolds, both of whom preceded him in death. Mike was a proud Northeastern Knight who graduated with the Class of 1973. His school records for most points scored in a single basketball game and most no-hitters thrown in a single baseball season stood for many years before they were broken.

Mike was formerly employed at Wayne Corp. before taking a job as a machine operator at Dana, where he worked for 28 years. He later worked at Reid Health for 7 years before retiring in 2017.

Mike lived for his family and his community. He enjoyed traveling around the USA on family trips. He loved riding his motorcycle, playing basketball, hunting, archery, and playing guitar. Mike devoted many hours as a tireless volunteer at the Williamsburg Area Community Center.

Mike will be missed by his wife of 49 years, Linda Marie Basile Reynolds, whom he married on Sept. 18, 1976; daughter, Jaclyn Marie Reynolds; son, Claude Henry Reynolds & wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Craig Griffith, Aaron Griffith, Kathryn Reynolds and Michael Gene Reynolds; brothers, Thomas L. Reynolds & wife, Kelly; Robert D. Reynolds and James A. Reynolds; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many, many dear friends.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 2:30 – 6:30 pm on Monday, October 27, at the Williamsburg Area Community Center, 8500 North Centerville Road in Williamsburg.

A celebration of life will begin at 6:30 pm on Monday, October 27, at the Williamsburg Area Community Center.
