I am so sorry for the loss of your mother.  Your mother was such an inspiration and help to me at Whitewater Elementary School.  We taught first grade together 1971-72 before I changed to fourth grade.  Without her guidance my first year of teaching, I probably would never have remained a teacher for another 33 years to be retired now in FL.  She will forever remain in my good memories.

Mrs. Thomas was my first grade teacher in 1966.  I loved her from the moment I met her.  She was amazing and I would go and visit her in her classroom for years to come.  She gave a wonderful start to so many children!  I was blessed to have had her as  a teacher and your blessings abound to have had her in your family.  She will always be remembered with great fondness.

So sorry to hear of your loss. What a pioneering woman to have competed a college degree in those days. You are so fortunate to have had her for so many years, and Elliott is so fortunate to have memories of his great-grandmother. Take care.
