Naomi F. Hutchens – LaRose, 81, of Richmond, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021, at Reid Hospital.
Naomi was born on February 12, 1940, in Blytheville, Arkansas. Naomi was a homemaker. She returned to school to earn her high school diploma from Richmond High School in 1991. Naomi attended Light House Church. She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls, word searches, coloring, sewing, and quilting.
Naomi is survived by five children, Robert Hutchens (Bonnie), Christina Wright (Tony Lutz), Donna Morefield (James), Ronnie Spence, and Veronica Thompson; eight grandchildren, Ashley Hutchens, Robert Hutchens Jr., Chelsea Voisin, Carissa Wright, Hayley Wright, Dillan Morefield, Cody Morefield, and Jessie Morefield; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Orr; and sister-in-law, Mary Jo Vanwinkle.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, Priest and Gladys Orr; husband, Donald Hutchens; son, Vernon Watkins; two sisters, Geneva Holmes and Orena Orr; and a brother, H.P. Orr.
A funeral service to celebrate Naomi’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South in Fountain City. Burial will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm Saturday, at Smith–McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home.
