Norma June Oler

Norma June Gamber Oler, 72, of Hagerstown, passed away on Tuesday, January 27 at Golden Living Center Golden Rule.
   She was born on March 11, 1942 in New Castle, Indiana to Orville and Iona Hopping Gamber. She married Ron Oler on March 9, 1959 to begin a 55-year marriage that was blessed with four sons.
   Norma was employed at Sears for three years early in her working life. She retired as an inspector from Dana in 1989 after 23 years of service, during which time she also lived and worked in Georgia, Alabama and Pennsylvania. She had lived in Hagerstown since 2002. Norma enjoyed traveling throughout her life and corresponding with her friends.
   Norma will be missed by her husband, Ron; sons, Kenny Oler and his fiancée, Darla; Tim Oler and his wife, Jerri; Doug Oler and his companion, Karen; and Jeff Oler and his wife, Melissa; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Christyna, Samantha, Kayla, Jacki, Jason, Nick and Samantha; two great-grandchildren, Zoey and Lilly; three sisters, Doris Ladd, Marilyn Dennis and Gayle Mikesell; one brother, Bill Gamber.
   Norma was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Janet.
   Wendy Canon will conduct a funeral ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Greens Fork South Cemetery.
   Family and friends may gather for visitation from3-7 p.m. on Friday, January 30, at the funeral home.
