Mrs. Patricia C. “Patty” Hopkins, 80, of Richmond, passed away Friday, November 25 at Golden Living Center Oak Park.
She was born December 13, 1930 in Bedford, Indiana to James and Anna Lincolnbach Concannon. She was united in marriage to Robert L. “Bob” Hopkins on July 18, 1954. They shared 54 years together until Bob’s death on June 27, 2009.
Patty managed the office for the family business, Hopkins Home Improvement. She enjoyed reading mystery novels, doing needlepoint and entertainment by Lawrence Welk.
Patty is survived by her son, Darrell Hopkins and his companion, Amanda Michaels; 3 grandchildren, Anthony Hopkins, Alexandra Hopkins and Makayla Hopkins; a brother, Philip A. Concannon, of Bedford, Indiana; nieces and nephews.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, James P. Concannon and Joseph M. Concannon; 4 sisters, Cecilia Ann Keller, Rita K. Handley, Katherine Gaines and Mary Ard.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Rev. Max Knight at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 29, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Elkhorn Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 10-11 A.M. on Tuesday, November 29, at the funeral home.
