Ray McConaha

Ray E. McConaha, 77, passed away on Saturday, May 9, at Reid Hospital.


Born July 12, 1931 in Richmond, he was the son of Ray and Lena Marie Sauer McConaha, both of whom preceded him in death. He married the former Beulah Gadd on August 16, 1951 and together they raised 4 children. Ray enjoyed his farm and was a retired supervisor from Belden.


Mr. McConaha will be missed by his wife, Beulah McConaha; 3 daughters and sons -in-law, Karen and Jon Chamness, of Beech Grove; Debbie and Tom Doddridge, of Milltown and Toni and John Burch, of Connersville; 1 son, Mark McConaha, of Fountain City, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.


A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Bro. Tom Johnson at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.


Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, May 11, at the funeral home.
